Registration is now open for the fourth annual Supply Chain Transparency Conference, taking place virtually on Tuesday, October 29, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST. Join industry leaders as they cover topics such as the business case for transparency, due diligence for customs compliance, supplier engagement strategies, and emerging supply chain technologies.
As we fast approach the EUDR enforcement date, December 30, we are still waiting on several implementation documents promised by the EU Commission. In the coming months we still expect to see the following implementation guidance from the Commission:
Official Implementing Guidelines that are meant to further clarify dedicated parts of the legislative text
Country benchmarking, which will classify countries in a low, medium, or high risk of deforestation is still being produced (likely to be released in November)
The EU Deforestation Due Diligence Registry or Information System timeline remains unchanged - the system will be open and operational in December. Training sessions will be organized in October and registrations will be possible as of November.
